Just a few minutes by car from our hotel, this gorge is accessed via a spectacular spiral staircase winding its way up a sheer rockface. The Liechtensteinklamm is one of the longest and deepest gorges in the Alps and a place where visitors can experience the raw beauty of nature, from the thundering waters of the river to the huge gaps in the rocks carved out over millions of years.

Salzburg is one of Austria's most charming cities and known the world over for its medieval city centre, the house where Mozart was born and, of course, The Sound of Music.
